Half the community    is located in Los Angeles County    (City of Westlake Village) and half    in Ventura County (City of Thousand     Oaks).  Homeowners are members of    the Westlake Island Property Owners     Association. Owners and residents are subject to CC&Rs, The Island Rules and Regulations and the Island Architectural Rules.  Listed below are links to the current versions of the Island Rules plus forms and other useful information for your reference.  Residents and potential buyers will find this website contains information that will be helpful in understanding and preserving the special environment that we all enjoy on the Island. 	Thinking about a remodel or some home improvements?  Before any exterior work may commence, an approved Architectural Application is required. Please refer to the Architectural Rules for guidance. The architectural committee meets the first and third Wednesday of every month to review projects.
